Focus

  • Educating students on balanced diets, hydration, and performance-focused eating habits.
  • Raising awareness about the intersection of food, equity, and athletic performance.
  • Bridging gaps in food access by collaborating with schools, local restaurants, and community partners in low-income areas.

Current Initiative: Fueling Access for Athletes

As part of this campaign, Eat Train Perform is actively collaborating with schools and restaurants in underserved Michigan communities to provide free or discounted healthy meals for student-athletes. This initiative ensures that access to nutritious food is never a barrier to performance, health, or opportunity.

By addressing food insecurity at its roots—through community-based partnerships, resource development, and education—we aim to make nutrition accessible, actionable, and empowering for every student-athlete, regardless of background.

Key Goals

- Partner with local schools and athletic departments to integrate nutrition education into team programs.
- Work with restaurants and local food providers to supply affordable, nutritious meals to student-athletes in underserved regions.
- Develop educational resources (brochures, meal plans, podcasts) to make nutrition guidance simple and actionable.
- Advocate for nutrition equity through community outreach and engagement with state and national organizations.

Target Regions

Our campaign focuses on high-need counties and school districts across Michigan, including:
Detroit • Flint • Saginaw • Muskegon • Battle Creek • Benton Harbor • Washtenaw • Jackson • Kalamazoo • and more.
